Auditions

Are you an aspiring actor or actress? Do you have a passion for theater? Well, it's time to get excited because the 2024 season auditions are just around the corner!

For those interested in auditioning for a play, please note that you will be required to perform a cold reading from the script. If you're interested in auditioning for a musical, prepare a song that best demonstrates your vocal ability. Don't forget to bring the music with you to play, as auditions must be accompanied by music. It's important to wear loose fitting and comfortable clothing as you may also be learning a short dance during the audition.

All auditions will begin at 6pm unless otherwise noted. All auditions will take place in the Barn Lot Theater Rehearsal Hall, located at the corner of Main Street and Hamilton Street (next door to the Administrative Offices and across the street from the Metcalfe County Public Library). If you are unable to make it to the scheduled audition dates, don't worry, just contact the theater to make special arrangements.

"To Kill a Mockingbird" on July 8th and 9th 2024, ages 16 and up. *Please note—the roles of Atticus and Adult Jean Louise have been precast. Pre-auditions for the following roles are July 1st and 2nd: one girl age 6-11, one boy age 6-11, and one boy age 9-14. Callbacks for these three parts are July 8th and 9th 2024. (During pre-auditions, children will be asked to tell a story - it can be something that happened to them, or their version of a fairy tale or something else they've heard. No material will be provided. Following the pre-auditions, children who are invited to regular auditions will be provided with two or three small selections from the script that will be used during regular auditions, so that they can familiarize themselves with the material. Memorizing anything for auditions is not required.)

"The Silver Belles" on August 12th and 13th 2024
